Your health, well-being, and peace of mind are paramount to us.

Although the world's circumstances have changed, protection and prevention are top priorities today as the travel industry, including The Zurich Insider™️, continues to adapt to the latest Swiss and international guidelines.

Before You Travel

Travel protocols vary from country to country and are subject to change as new information becomes available (even at the last minute). Therefore, please always check them shortly before your departure.

Traveling to Switzerland

✈️ For Switzerland's entry & stay regulations and restrictions, the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration SEM and its visa provisions list can provide more information.

⚠️ NEW FROM MID-2025 - ETIAS

ETIAS is a new European travel authorization system similar to the USA Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). Visa-exempt third-country nationals who wish to enter the Schengen Area must apply online for an ETIAS travel authorization, which costs 7 euros and is generally valid for 3 years.

Health, Travel & Cancellations

Before traveling, we strongly recommend reviewing your insurance to ensure you have appropriate coverage to meet your and your travel companions' needs in case of loss of property, illness, injury, or death.

We strongly recommend that You obtain travel and cancellation insurance for the entire duration of your trip. This will provide further protection from unexpected circumstances that might force You to cancel your trip.

Although our General Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy are more flexible than ever, we can not predict all eventualities or cover a short-notice cancellation. The Zurich Insider™️ does NOT offer health, travel, or trip cancellation insurance.

However, we offer aNo-questions-asked tour cancellation assurance for an additional fee.

⚕️ For more information about Switzerland's current health measures and ordinances, visit the Federal Office of Public Health BAG website.

Conduct Policy

At The Zurich Insider, we prioritize all participants' safety, comfort, and enjoyment during our tours. We expect all guests to behave respectfully and responsibly toward fellow travelers, guides, service providers, and local communities.

Disruptive, disrespectful, aggressive, discriminatory, or unsafe behavior—including but not limited to verbal or physical harassment, intimidation, abuse, wandering away from the group without notifying guides, repeatedly delaying group activities, or ignoring safety instructions—will NOT be tolerated.

Participants are responsible for informing guides in advance of any health conditions, disabilities, accessibility needs, or concerns that could impact their ability to participate safely and comfortably.

Immediately inform your guide if you feel unwell or unsafe during the tour. Guides have full authority to manage and address any behavior violating these standards, including removing guests immediately without compensation or refund to ensure group safety and comfort.

Remember, behaving respectfully is a basic expectation—if this proves challenging, private guided tours might not suit you.

Health & Safety

Travelers must adhere to local health regulations, including mask usage, hygiene practices, and social distancing guidelines when required. Guests are responsible for complying with Swiss regulations, which may change rapidly.

The Zurich Insider strives to minimize risks, but travel inherently carries unavoidable risks. Guests participate at their own risk and acknowledge responsibility for personal actions and safety during tours. Should an emergency situation occur, follow your guide’s instructions promptly.

Transportation

If private transportation is included in your service, enhanced sanitation measures include regular vehicle disinfection, health checks for guides and drivers, and potential mask requirements.

All vehicles comply with local safety regulations and standards. Seat belts must be worn at all times in moving vehicles.

Drivers employed by The Zurich Insider are professionally licensed and trained in safe driving practices. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and safety during transit.

Guests requiring specific seating arrangements or accessibility assistance must notify us in advance.

Leaving Switzerland

When leaving Switzerland, consult your home country's policies regarding testing, self-isolation requirements, and current travel advisories.

We understand travel involves additional measures; however, we remain committed to ensuring your smooth and enjoyable experience with us. We look forward to welcoming you to Zurich and Switzerland.

Our health protocols and guidelines are regularly updated. Please revisit this policy before you arrive in Switzerland.

TRAVEL & Safety 2025

Over the last few years, the circumstances have evolved, and the restrictions previously in place have been lifted in many instances. However, our recommendations are still practical suggestions that may help you with your travel plans.
